During the construction of residential buildings, social facilities or industrial structures, the question of connecting the building to the city's power grid inevitably arises. Today, the use of transformer substations of various capacities in a reinforced concrete shell is the optimal solution for durability and reliability during operation.
The substation shell is a volumetric concrete structure, which consists of two separately manufactured elements - a base plate and a volumetric hood. During assembly, two concrete elements are connected by welding at the locations of the embedded parts. For the production of volumetric hoods, the PBS engineers designed and manufactured a stand equipped with a hydraulic system for controlling the stripping process, heating and concrete mixture compaction. The company acting as a customer made special demands on the versatility of the equipment. Thanks to constructive solutions, it was possible to ensure the possibility of changeover of forms to other standard sizes in the shortest possible time. Thanks to this decision, the customer received at his disposal universal equipment capable of flexibly adjusting to the current needs of the market.
DESIGN FEATURES OF THE STAND
The stand consists of an outer formwork and a hydraulic core that forms the inner cavity of the bell. External massive formwork walls are installed on movable carriages moving along guides using hydraulics. When stripping, each wall moves away from the concrete surface by 800 mm. Thanks to this solution, it is very convenient to carry out intermediate work, such as the installation of inserts and openers, mold lubrication, reinforcement, etc. On the outer walls of the formwork there are external vibrators for compacting the concrete mixture. The upper elements of the outer panels are removable for changeover to other standard sizes. Along the perimeter, the form is equipped with wide and comfortable scaffolds for safe work. The core forming the inner cavity of the bell is a volumetric steel element with movable plane joints. Due to special constructive solutions during demoulding, the hydraulics compresses the core and it completely frees the products for its further removal from the mold. After removing the product, the hydraulic system returns the core to the design position.
